"Elegant Bordeaux - Since the 18th century, the city of Bordeaux has assumed a majestic air and prided itself on an elegance which it has never lost. Rich in history, culture, arts, music, legendary wines and cuisine, Bordeaux is not only the wine capital of the world, but also a vibrant centre of trade, industry and business."

Bordeaux is for sophisticated living, often being described as a 'mini Paris'; Our apartment was initially chosen because of its' location in the heart of the city on the fashionable Rue des Remparts. This pedestrianised street is situated between the prestigious shopping street 'Cours de l'Intendance' and the city's fine Cathedral 'St. André'. Rue des Remparts offers a smart selection of bistro restaurants, cafés, boutique clothes
and jeweler's shops, art galleries and specialised gift shops.
Situated on the second floor of a bourgeois 'pierre de taille' (cut local stone) 19th. Century building. In recent years the apartment has been fully renovated to make the most of its original features and superb aspect overlooking the street below. The main living room is over 50m² with original wooden floors, high ceilings, a marble fireplace and 3 exquisite cast iron 'Juliette' balconies a perfect spot to watch the city come to life, as the nearby cafés prepare their tables for another busy day... To the rear of the living room, a corridor connects to two separate comfortable double bedrooms and a modern bathroom. The apartment is fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard, tastefully presented and modern, but in keeping with its period. |

Our aim was to create a comfortable city centre 'pied a terre' from which we could enjoy city life. With this in mind, we have furnished and equipped the apartment in a mixture of antique and modern, selecting pieces which complement one another; handmade fine 'Boukhara' rugs for the floors, large French antique mirrors to decorate the walls (bought and expertly restored locally), sleek leather sofas and other French antique furnishings,
all bought locally around the Bordeaux antique quarters
and annual fairs and brocantes. Having achieved all of this, we are now happy to rent the apartment out on a short term basis.
Whether you are in Bordeaux on business, for a short city break, or if you plan to make Bordeaux your base for a longer holiday whilst you tour the diverse countryside and towns of Aquitaine, we welcome you to make a reservation and to come and enjoy the delights that this beautiful city has to offer...
